State symbols are historically formed images confirming the existence of a certain sovereign state, expressing its integrity. They reflect the primordial dreams and aspirations of the people, life ideals and good wishes. Symbols are organically connected with the life of people (nation), its traditions, history and culture.

According to Article 5 of the Constitution, the Republic of Uzbekistan has its own state symbols – flag, coat of arms, anthem, approved by law.

The national anthem of Uzbekistan is approved by the Law of December 10, 1992, adopted by the Supreme Council of the Republic of Uzbekistan. The poem for it was written by the famous poet Abdulla Oripov, music – Honoured Art Worker Mutal Burkhanov.

The national anthem praises the beautiful nature of Uzbekistan, its bright sun, green valleys. The hymn also sings about the people of Uzbekistan, about its high spiritual qualities and hard work, about the struggle for independence and about love for the motherland.

The music of the anthem proclaims the triumph of a free life, strengthens the spirit, calls for daring, creativity and renewal.
