As you know, this year, the “Universiada” sports games among students of higher educational institutions will be held in a new format.

On January 23 in the city of Navoiy, the final stage of this tournament, which will be held in 12 sports, was launched.

First, chess and drafts competitions were held in the Navoiy region on January 23-26, and badminton competitions began on January 28 at the “Alpomish” sports complex in the city of Gulistan, Syrdarya region.

In total, 112 students – sportsmen from the Republic of Karakalpakstan, the city of Tashkent and regions participate in the competitions.

The badminton competition is held among boys and girls in single, double and mixed directions. The tournament will last until January 30.
