The third-year students of the “English Linguistics” Department of Karakalpak State University organized a spectacular event at the 22nd school. The 9th February is the birthday of Alisher Navoiy. Although this great poet was born 583 years ago, any person interested in literature has not forgotten the great heritage he provided for humanity. Besides the methodists responsible for the practice of the university students, a number of English teachers working at this school were invited to watch several interesting role plays to memorize the brilliant work of Alisher Navoiy. Almost every student was actively engaged in the event and tried to do thier best to cheer up as well as impressing the audience. There were a lot of excellent parts such as national dances, reciting poems in different languages, historical role plays and so on. The participants created an atmosphere on another level as well as making the guests enjoy the special day. The hard endeavour of students caused a great applauds of the spectators and was mentioned by the teachers. At the end of the event, the teachers wished a good luck to all those took part in the process, acquired the presents from students and expressed their strong gratitude for such an exciting day.
