
On september 20 of this year, Karakalpak State University named after Berdakh held a student card handing ceremony for 1-year students admitted for the 2024-2025 academic year. The ceremony was attended by T. Romanov, Chairman of the Committee of the Jokargi Kenges of the Republic of Karakalpakstan, professors-teachers of the University, deans of the faculties, student youth, their parents and mass media representatives. The event began with the national anthems of the Republic of Uzbekistan and the Republic of Karakalpakstan.
At the event Rector of the University Akhmed Reymov had a speech, welcomed and congratulated the students and their parents who were lucky to be accepted to study at Karakalpak State University named after Berdakh in the 2024-2025 academic year, he also noted that all the conditions have been created at the University for these students to contribute to the development of our country in the future and become mature specialists. At the same time, as a result of the fatherly care given to the youth of Karakalpakstan and according to the Honorable President’s Decree No. 213, he said that this year, based on the number of specialties and the internal needs of the personnel required for the cities and districts of our Republic, 10,000 additional quotas were allocated, of which 968 students were admitted to Karakalpak State University named after Berdakh, and expressed his gratitude to our Honorable President, who is creating such opportunities for young people.
After that, Chairman of the Committee of the Jokargi Kenges of the Republic of Karakalpakstan T. Romanov made a speech and told about the new reforms implemented in the field of education in our country, as well as the wide opportunities given to our young people by our country, he expressed his confidence that in the future, they will be personnel who will selflessly serve for the peace of our country and the well-being of our people. At the event, student certificates were handed over to students who scored high marks and then the event was continued with a concert program prepared by the University community.
For information: in the 2024-2025 academic year, a total of 5,112 quotas were allocated to full-time, part-time and evening education courses of Berdakh Karakalpak State University, of which 1,203 were state grants, and 3,912 quotas were allocated on the basis of a payment contract, in addition, according to our Honorable President’s Decree No. 213, 968 young people were admitted to Karakalpak State University named after Berdakh.
