
Today, on January 22, a meeting on the topic “Rector and Youth” was held at Karakalpak State University named after Berdakh. The meeting was attended by Rector of the University, Academician Akhmed Reymov, vice-rectors, heads of departments, professors-teachers and students. The main purpose of the event was to get acquainted to the problems and suggestions of young people, to help meet their requests and needs, as well as to discuss important issues in the life of the University.
First, before the meeting, a video was presented to the audience about the work carried out at the University, measures to support student youth. After that, Rector of the University Akhmed Reymov spoke about the achievements of young people in the field of science, their activity in public life and their role in the development of our country. “Today’s youth is the foundation of our tomorrow, every initiative and aspiration of them is important for us. Therefore, the administration of our University is ready to listen to the opinion of every student and solve their problems”, said Rector Akhmed Reymov in his speech.
During the meeting, students had the opportunity to ask their questions. Issues such as improving the quality of education, improving educational processes using innovative technologies, expanding opportunities for participation in scientific projects, increasing the number of sports and cultural events were discussed. At the meeting, students raised questions and suggestions on such issues as expanding the library fund, organizing additional clubs, opening new master’s specialties, increasing sports and cultural events.
The Rector listened attentively to all questions and suggestions and answered them. Some issues were resolved on the spot, and instructions were given to the relevant departments. In particular, it was announced that next academic year a new student dormitory will be commissioned at the University, additional sports clubs and foreign language courses will be organized, and the library fund will be enriched with new literature.
At the end of the event, Rector Akhmed Reymov called on all students to contribute to the development of the University with their aspirations and initiatives. The University administration also reaffirmed its readiness to openly discuss any problems and suggestions of young people. The “Rector and Youth” meeting was an important platform for determining future plans, creating an atmosphere of warm dialogue between students and managers. Undoubtedly, such events will serve to increase the activity of young people and their more active participation in the life of the university.
