From April 19, 2021, Professor of the University of New South Wales (Sydney, Australia) Fedor Anatolyevich Sukochev began online lectures on the topic “Operator θ-Hölder functions” for gifted students and undergraduates of Karakalpak State University named after Berdakh and junior researchers of Karakalpak Branch of the Institute of Mathematics named after V.I.Romanovsky.
F.A.Sukochev is a world leader in the search for new analytical approaches to complex interdisciplinary problems. His research encompasses a field of mathematics inspired by quantum mechanics, where commuting variables are replaced by non-commuting ones. He is an internationally recognized expert in three related but distinct areas: non-commutative analysis, non-commutative geometry and non-commutative probability.
Professor F.A.Sukochev is a member of the Australian Academy of Sciences, the Australian Mathematical Society and the Hannan Medal Committee (Australian Academy of Sciences), ARC (Australian Research Council) Fellowship Laureate, Professor Stieltjes, and was awarded with DORA prize (Discovery Outstanding Researcher Award, ARC). He has reviewed many leading international journals, including the Journal of Functional Analysis, Duke Mathematical Journal, Advances in Mathematics, Mathematische Annalen, and many other mathematical journals. He has also been a reviewer for a number of national and international financial agencies, including ARC, New Zealand’s Marsden Fund and South Africa’s National Research Foundation (NRF), the National Science and Technology Assessment Center of Kazakhstan.
Currently, F.A.Sukochev is a professor at one of the world’s recognized centers of education and research – the University of New South Wales. According to the prestigious QS World University Rankings, this university is included in the list of the 50 best higher educational institutions in the world. He is also a member of the editorial board of two major international journals: Positivity and Banach Journal of Mathematical Analysis.
