Every year May 22 is marked as the International Day of Biological Diversity. In connection with this date, on May 22, 2023, a scientific seminar was held at the Faculty of Biology. The scientific seminar was attended by professors and teachers of the Faculty of Biology, doctoral students, deputies of the Party Council of the Ecological Party of Uzbekistan, the Republic of Karakalpakstan, experts and students from protected natural areas located in the Republic of Karakalpakstan.

   In the scientific seminar, information was given on when this date will be celebrated, its importance in the protection of biological diversity, and the work being carried out in the field of environmental protection in the protected natural areas of our republic. The seminar continued as a question-and-answer session, the participants received answers to their questions, and suggestions and recommendations were given to further increase the efficiency of work in the direction of environmental protection and biodiversity preservation.
