On October 30, 2023, the “Freshmen Festival 2023” was held at the Palace of Culture of KSU. This festival was held by the first-year students of the Department of English Language and Literature and organized by the teachers of the department L. Seytjanova, G. Keulimjaeva, T. Khudaybergenova and I. Kalmuratova.

The festival was attended by the dean of the Faculty of Foreign Languages Dj. Kurbanbaev, the head of the Department of English Language and Literature Z. Uteshova, senior teachers F. Atashova, A. Sadullaeva, N. Satullaeva and other teachers of the department.

“Freshmen Festival 2023” is dedicated to introducing the first-year students to the university. During the festival, spectators enjoyed a wonderful live concert, music and dances of various cultures: Karakalpak, English, American, Russian and even Georgian. A new KVN group “Aral” was also presented and amazed everyone with their spectacular shows and jokes. The winners of the Best Art contest on the theme “Autumn Fantasy”, which was held in advance among the first-year students, were awarded by certificates. The students also delighted the audience with their heartfelt role play dedicated to the topic of quotas for admission to universities on the basis of a state grant. The festival ended with the initiation of freshmen into students and their oath.
