On November 7, at Karakalpak State University named after Berdakh, dedicated to the memory of Academician Bekhzod Sodikovich Yuldashev, there was held the Congress of Academicians and Youth under the name “Academicians and youth: development of science is created by young people!”. At the event academicians of the Academy of Sciences of the Republic of Uzbekistan, heads of higher educational institutions of the Republic of Karakalpakstan and Khorezm region, doctoral students, researchers, young scientists, talented students and master students participated.
The Congress was attended by Vice-President of the Academy of Sciences of the Republic of Uzbekistan Professor S.Mirzaev, Head of the Committee of Jokargi Kenes of the Republic of Karakalpakstan A.Atajanov, Higher Education, Science and Innovation Deputy Minister O.Makhkamov, Minister of Higher Education, Science and Innovation of the Republic of Karakalpakstan B.Kaypbergenov. Firstly, the visitors were introduced to innovative exhibits prepared by young scientists.
Then, the opening ceremony of the Congress of Academicians and Youth under the name “Academicians and youth: development of science is created by young people!” took place. The congress was opened and headed by Rector of Berdakh Karakalpak State University, Head of Karakalpak Branch of the Academy of Sciences of the Republic of Uzbekistan A.Reymov. In his speech, he mentioned that, under the initiative of our Honorable President, great efforts are being made in the sphere of developing science, increasing the effectiveness of research results and supporting young scientists.
During the Congress, academicians told young people about their careers, their achievements in the field of science and their scientific work. They shared with the youth the information about the important stages of their scientific work, the challenges they faced and the experiences they gained in overcoming them. The congress also focused on the important issues in the field of science, the importance of new technologies in scientific research and scientific achievements in the world.
A concert program prepared by talented students of the University was presented to the audience. During the Congress, there was held the All-National Project “Jasıl mákan” and the Garden of Academicians was created there. In the Garden of Academicians with good intentions for future there were planted trees.
The main goal of the event was to attract young people to science and innovation, increase their scientific interest and supply with scientists who are necessary for the future of the country. This event is aimed at guiding young people to the world of science, orientating them to scientific research and helping them to make reliable steps on the way chosen by them.
