By the Order of the Ministry of Higher and Secondary Special Education of the Republic of Uzbekistan №927 dated to October 12, 2018, the headquarters for the regional qualifying round of the Universiada sports competitions was organized and there was determined the personnel responsible for ensuring electricity, gas, water supply, sanitation and fire safety in student housing and sporting events during the preparation and conducting the competitions.

A total of 84 sportsmen participating in the sporting event are provided with all the necessary conveniences, they have been provided with dormitories and dining places of the University.

Today, the basketball teams from Bukhara, Navoiy and Khorezm regions have been met and accommodated in the rooms of the University dormitories.

 The draw for the Basketball Tournament was cast on October 22 this year. According to the draw among boys and girls, the competitions were among the teams of Bukhara and Navoiy and among the teams of the Khorezm region and the Republic of Karakalpakstan.

According to the results of the games the boys of the Republic of Karakalpakstan won over the Khorezm region with the score of 41:15 and the Navoi region won over the team from Bukhara with the score of 32:15.

Among girls, the team of the Republic of Karakalpakstan won over the team of the Khorezm region with the score of 100:19, and the team of the Navoi region won over the team from Bukhara with the score of 65: 8.
