According to the fourth initiative of the 12th protocol of the meeting “On increasing spirituality and wide propaganda of interest to reading among young people” of Presidential Decree dated to March 19, 2019 “On implementing the five main initiatives in organizing work on increasing youth’s interest in culture, art, sports, information technology and reading”, on December 5-6 of this year, the University stage of the spiritual and educational contest “The most active group of book lovers” was held at the Palace of Culture of the University.

Twelve teams from the University faculties participated in the contest. For the evaluation process, the jury was formed from members of the Writers’ Union of Karakalpakstan, the Republican Information Library Center, the Council of the Youth Union of Karakalpakstan and a number of University specialists in various fields.

According to the results of the two-day competition, the following teams became winners: the “Ayazy” team of the Karakalpak Language and Journalism Faculty took the first place, the “Nikhol” team of Uzbek Philology Faculty took the second place, and the “Bozatau” team of Physics Faculty took the third place.

Also in the nominations: in the nomination “The best scenic image from the work” based on the work of A.Sultanov “Proud of his land” the Faculty of Economics, and in the nomination “Best essay” on the work of Ch.Ayitmatov “Motherland” the Faculty of History were awarded. The winning teams were awarded with diplomas.
